Rilla Richardson

Rilla is a passionate early career psychologist who has completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Bond University. Rilla has a client-focused approach and is led by each individual’s needs in a collaborative way, ensuring she provides a supportive, genuine, and warm environment for individuals to share openly while they further develop their self understanding, knowledge, and skills. 


Rilla has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families for assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for a range of developmental and mental health concerns. Rilla has a keen interest in the treatment of trauma and supporting adjustment following major life events. Additionally, through her own life experiences as a mother and her previous roles, Rilla has an interest in supporting families through the many challenges presented in parenthood and childhood.



As part of the collaborative process, each client and Rilla will determine different strategies and skills to implement based on a client’s needs and preferences. Rilla has formal training and experience in the implementation of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).


Rilla is available to support children, adults, and families in the areas of:

  • Trauma

  • Anxieties (i.e. separation anxiety, GAD, panic disorders, etc)

  • Depression

  • Stress

  • Grief and Loss

  • Adjustment

  • Behaviour management and parenting strategies

  • Communication difficulties

  • Strategies for ADHD and developmental disorders
